Now entering it's 7th year, The Goddess Program is pleased to offer four fabulous programs for our 2010 season! Serving young women in middle and high school, this is absolutely the time to give a Goddess trip a try. We combine camping, backpacking, rock climbing, art, poetry, journaling, yoga, and exploring nature into a program that is designed just for you. It's about empowerment and excitement - you'll be amazed at how strong, brave, and beautiful you really are. Whether it's your first wildnerness experience ever or you're a veteran Goddess girl, we've got just the trip for you!
Goddesses develop leadership, self-reliance and community as well as a unique connection with the natural world. While building self-confidence and positive, diverse relationships, in The Goddess Program each girl sees herself as a strong, inspired, and caring individual. In the beauty of the wilderness, each girl is encouraged to be true to herself, make intelligent decisions, and learn to apply the lessons she's learned to the rest of her life.
The Goddess Program takes place on Great Hollow's 890-acre wilderness preserve and on the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut and Southern Massachusetts. Hiking through some of New England's most beautiful landscapes, living outdoors, rock climbing, camping, cooking, and traveling as a team - girls have the opportunity to grow as individuals and as a group in this unforgettable environment.
Explore. Uncover. Empower.
The program is challenging - both physically & emotionally. Goddesses take responsibility for their actions, make decisions, and deal with conflict. However, nothing is beyond the means of any girl willing to explore living up to her fullest potential!
